The Alpes-Maritimes Historical Research Prize, worth 6,000 euros and established by the Department in 1989, is intended to facilitate the publication of an original study on the Alpes-Maritimes department.
This prize is intended to recognize high-quality, innovative academic work on the history of the Alpes-Maritimes Department based on archival sources. Its purpose is to assist the winner in publishing their work in print through a publishing house.
Researchers may enter the competition by sending two copies of their work (academic thesis or dissertation) to the Departmental Archives, accompanied by a letter (to be written in accordance with the template in Appendix 1 of the rules), in which they commit, if successful, to using the prize money to publish their work.
