AIMS
The objective of the Banking Law and Wealth Management course is to satisfy the important and growing needs of executives responsible for a portfolio of private clients in banking establishments, credit institutions, insurance companies and independent wealth managers. The aim is to train Asset Management Advisors (AMA) through the acquisition of technical and relational skills essential to mastering the relationship with the client, the good range of services and private management. Students will be expected to have a legal background and banking experience, and to have sufficient skills to integrate the tools necessary for entry into the legal curriculum.
It will be an opportunity for students to gain experience in the legal profession.
It is also to train lawyers and jurists specialised in banking and financial law in order to advise banking companies and to defend them in court in case of litigation.

LEARNING AND RESEARCH
Research is a major part of the training. Students must prepare individual and collective work (research reports and/or dissertations). The exercises of studying a file also require the mobilization of important documentation, which must be synthesized. The methodology of constructing a research project is covered in the dissertation in the first year. The methodology of research is further developed in the second year in the framework of the elaboration of different research reports and the dissertation.
The Master's research-based training is supported by the Center for Economic Law (UR 4224), which includes a banking-finance-asset management unit. Each year, students are invited to attend scientific events (workshops, conferences, symposiums, etc.) organized by the laboratory or by the Master's department on current topics related to banking and finance.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED
The student who has obtained the Master's degree in Banking Law and Wealth Management :
enters into contact with and follows up on clients of banks, insurance companies, financial product investment consulting firms or independent firms (e.g. asset management),
manages the client's assets from a legal and financial point of view,
advises clients on asset management and transfer strategies using (among other things) the company's products,
advises clients on the acquisition of financial products,
handles banking litigation,
assesses banking and credit risks,
advises and proposes the company's products.The graduate is able to:
master the entry into a relationship and the commercial development of this relationship,
proceed with the global analysis of the client's personal and patrimonial situation in order to draw the data of his legal situation to provide him with the best advice,
mastering the legal framework of wealth management and the technical tools of management and transmission,
mastering the technique of the products as well as the financial products of the company,
identify situations or clients at risk,
conduct commercial negotiations in order to offer clients the most suitable company productsINTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS
The Banking Law and Asset Management program is offered exclusively on a work-study basis, in the form of an apprenticeship or professionalization contract.
Tutored projects are set up throughout the year. Students must produce research reports in teams on themes defined at the beginning of the year and give a summary presentation of their work. Students also have the opportunity to participate in national competitions related to banking, finance and wealth management. This is the case for the AGEFI Young Graduates Grand Prize, or the CNCGP Young Talents competition.
SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS
The Master's program is exclusively a work-study program, which allows students to apply their theoretical knowledge in a regular and progressive manner.
The Master's program involves many professionals who provide professional teaching. The students are thus confronted with practical exercises throughout their training, through simulations, case studies, or analysis of client files.
Students are invited to attend symposiums and conferences organized by the Master's department. These events, which are open to students, bring students into contact with eminent national or international specialists on current issues related to banking and finance.
