    The aim of the Notarial Public Law pathway is to contribute to better training in public law for students and professionals in the notarial profession, and to improve the legal certainty of their acts, by fostering mastery of the rules of public law applied to notarial practice in the fields of public law and notarial law; their acts, by promoting mastery of the rules of public law applied to notarial practice, in the fields of town planning, contracts, and more broadly, administrative acts.

    This course is also designed to respond effectively to the needs of public bodies for legal expertise, and to make the notary a genuine partner of local authorities, particularly in matters of public real estate intervention.

  • FUNDAMENTAL PREREQUISITES

    Have taken courses in town planning law and administrative law, and in the subjects listed in Annex 2 of the Order of 5 July 2023 on the Higher Diploma in Notarial Practice

  • LEARNING AND RESEARCH

    The training provided draws on the work carried out by the university lecturers at the research centre to which it is attached, and several lawyers from CRIDON Lyon (a research organisation dedicated to the notarial profession) are involved in the teaching team. A study day is organised each year, on topical issues, to which all students who have completed the course are invited.

    The Practical Notarial Training course is offered in English and French.

    The Pratique notariale et droit public notarial course is supported by the Laboratoire de droit immobilier et notarial privé et public (LDINPP)

    Fundamental concepts of public law applied to notarial practice

    Applied administrative law, applied environmental law, the notary and the financial and fiscal framework for acts of public bodies, the notary and the law of non-profit organisations, the corporate organisation of the notarial profession

    Options on the assets of public bodies

    The notary and town planning regulations

    Awareness of town planning regulations, town planning documents, implementation of town planning regulations

    The notary and operational town planning

  • PROFESSIONAL SKILLS TO BE ACQUIRED

    The skills offered by the course

    • maîtrise the fundamentals of public law applied; à notarial practice

    • master the knowledge required to carry out real estate transactions involving the assets of public bodies

    • mastering the fundamentals of town planning law applied to notarial practice

    • Develop expertise in operational town planning

    The skills acquired by students on the course mainly concern

    - project management, learning about the legal feasibility of real estate transactions.

    - a greater understanding of the legal aspects of real estate transactions.

    - greater legal certainty in drafting notarial deeds

    - the preparation of operational files for both routine and complex real estate transactions by public bodies

  • INTERNSHIPS AND SUPERVISED PROJECTS

    Compulsory internship of at least 3 months, to be carried out outside teaching hours

  • SPECIFIC TEACHING CONDITIONS

    Teaching is grouped in the form of seminars (town planning and public law applied to notarial practice), each comprising two days of classes per month from September to June. Strong involvement of notary professionals (CRIDON lawyers, notaries)
