The agricultural sector is currently undergoing profound changes that are simultaneously affecting production methods, forms of work organisation, employment structures and career paths. These transformations are part of a range of dynamics: ecological and energy transitions, the spread of digital and robotic technologies, geopolitical realignments in agricultural markets, and the financialisation of certain productive sectors... This special issue of *Travail et Emploi* aims to contribute to the analysis of these developments in agriculture in the broadest sense, encompassing agriculture, fisheries and the forestry and timber sector. It seeks to examine contemporary changes in work and employment within the agricultural sector.
