(Calenda announcement 996930)

The Association of Medical Anthropology and Health (AMADES) is offering a thesis prize, intended to reward with 1,000 euros a French-language thesis in the social sciences of health (anthropology, sociology, economics, history, political science, etc.).

Applications are open for theses defended in 2021.

In addition to academic criteria concerning the scientific and editorial quality of the work, the criteria for awarding this prize correspond to the orientations of AMADES.

The committee is particularly attentive to work that allows for the establishment of a dialogue between the social sciences and the life sciences, or that describes the complexity of health practices in the "North" as well as in the "South", or that can help advance knowledge and resolve questions linking health and social change, and that is based on empirically documented analyses.
