The award is presented each December during the association’s General Assembly. A meeting between the winner and the award’s partners is organized the day before the General Assembly to facilitate an in-depth discussion of the winning work. The winner agrees to write a summary article, which will be published in “La Revue,” the Alefpa journal, and to provide a short video presentation, which will be available on the association’s website.
Overview
Nature of the award: €1,500
The projects must address individuals facing social challenges or living with a physical, intellectual, or mental disability. They will address education or training, support mechanisms, care provision, factors contributing to exclusion, and the limitations of institutional care… In particular, they should explore ways to promote prevention, collective solidarity and its tools, these groups’ path to autonomy, and their status as citizens in society. These studies may also explore the impact of public policies, the legal framework for protection and inclusion, economic and financial mechanisms that promote autonomy or employment, and the organization and management of medical-social and educational institutions.The relevant disciplines include educational sciences, psychology, sociology, political science, law, economics, and management sciences, as well as medical disciplines, architecture, and cultural mediation.
A partnership with the candidate and/or the laboratory from which they come may be proposed. Alefpa staff are eligible to apply.
Eligibility
The dissertation must have been defended within the two years preceding the competition deadline and must be written in French.
