More than half the world's population currently lives in cities, and this figure is expected to double by 2050. Creating sustainable cities is crucial to the future of Canada and the world, and our collective response to climate change will be felt and carried by our urban centers. We need cutting-edge research to help guide the progress of governments to bring about real, tangible change. To this end, the Faculty of Arts has created the Research Mobility Chair in Urban Sustainability to financially support a visiting researcher during his/her stay at the University of Ottawa.
