The ANR EN-MIG project "Children in decolonization: forced migrations and individual construction (France- 1945-1980)" deals with forced migrations involving children from different parts of the decaying French colonial empire. The main methodological choice of this project is to propose a history based on the available archives, as well as on the narratives that the people concerned produced as they grew older. In addition to a census of the available sources, this approach implies the creation of a database gathering all the production of stories, published testimonies, audio-visual testimonies of the people concerned by these displacements, but also the traces of oneself and ego-archives such as notebooks, diaries, drawings, photographs. The creation and feeding of this database is the subject of the present post-doctoral contract.
