Contemporary crises, such as those caused by extreme climatic events or pandemics - notably that of Covid-19 - have revealed the capacity of societies to produce unprecedented forms of collective action, situated at the interface between citizen initiatives, social innovation and public action. Among these dynamics, the "emergency commons" constitute a fertile object of analysis for questioning the transformation of public action and modes of territorial governance.
