The construction sector is now one of the most dynamic drivers of the economies of French-speaking Africa: roads, bridges, dams, social housing, hospital and school infrastructure… However, this dynamism raises major legal issues that have yet to be sufficiently explored by legal scholarship: project financing, planning permission and town planning law, construction contracts, professional liability, acceptance of works, litigation and judicial specialisation, public procurement, environmental issues… It is to fill this gap that CREDIJ (Centre for Research and Studies on Law and Judicial Institutions in Africa) is launching a call for contributions for a collective volume.
