Each year, the Albert Viala Foundation awards the Albert Viala Prize for a published or unpublished French-language literary or legal work in defense of fundamental freedoms.
The prize is awarded for a work published in the three years preceding the closing date for entries, if the work proposed for the competition has not been published.
