The German Historical Institute (IHA) is awarding the tenth Franco-German History Prize for Master's theses in 2024. The competition is open to students who have defended their Master 2 dissertation between January 1 and December 31, 2023, in history or a history-related discipline at an institution of higher education in France or Germany, and who have been awarded the distinction "bien" or "très bien". For work defended at a German institution, the thesis must focus on a moment in French history. Conversely, for work submitted to a French institution, the dissertation must focus on German history. In both cases, the dissertation may also focus on Franco-German history. The period studied can range from late antiquity to the present day.
