This colloquium brings together researchers, doctoral students, decision-makers and development players around the public policies pursued since independence in the 1960s in the fields of education, health and the economy, under the influence of the MDGs and then the SDGs. Despite progress in school enrolment, health and economic development, many challenges persist: low quality of education, inadequate infrastructure and teacher training, fragile and unequal health systems, and high economic dependence on raw materials.
