In order to encourage research in the humanities and social sciences and to strengthen public interest in the Pompidou years (1962-1974), his action and his work, the Georges Pompidou Institute awards each year a "Georges Pompidou Institute Thesis Prize", rewarding a thesis in French or translated into French.

Thesis candidates for the Georges Pompidou Institute Thesis Prize must have been defended between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2022.
