1 Presentation of the scheme (summary)
The Research Center of the Historial de la Grande Guerre, with the support of the Gerda Henkel Foundation and the Conseil départemental de la Somme, awards annual (non-renewable) grants to French or foreign doctoral students (Phd) in all disciplines who are conducting research on the causes, course or consequences of the First World War.
The scholarship will be awarded, for one year only, to a candidate whose research is likely to contribute to his or her career. For the Henkel Foundation scholarships, candidates must be no older than 35 years of age at the time of application.
