With the mobility grants, the German Historical Institute supports research projects for which appropriate preliminary work has already been carried out and for which a research stay in France is necessary. The place of work during the grant is in France, but may vary according to the needs of the project. Mobility grants are awarded for a period of one to three months. A second application is possible for the same duration. For Master's students, mobility grants are awarded for a period of one to three months. Applications must be submitted at least two months before the start of the desired stay. Mobility grants are intended for work in progress, not for writing.
