1 Summary of the prize

The Vendôme Prize, awarded by the Ministry of Justice and the Institute for Studies and Research on Law and Justice, distinguishes each year a thesis in criminal law, criminal procedure or criminal sciences on a subject of particular interest to the Ministry of Justice.

Since 2014, the prize has been awarded in partnership with LexisNexis editions.

The prize is worth €3,000.

Candidates must have defended their thesis between September 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023.

The winner will be invited to take part in the Adamas residencies at the Château de Goutelas (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region), a European residency program for researchers in partnership with the Conseil constitutionnel, the International Academy of Nuremberg Principles and the International Economic Law Association.
