This special issue of the journal*Socio-économie du travail* aimsto contribute to the body of literature on the variety of employment systems and forms of labor mobilization by examining them from an African perspective. Indeed, African countries offer a unique vantage point for observing the labor models that are taking hold in globalized societies. The call for papers is intended to be multidisciplinary, open to any proposal for an original article in the fields of economics, sociology, and anthropology, as well as potentially other disciplines.
