The Fondation pour la Mémoire de la Shoah (Foundation for the Memory of the Holocaust), which has been recognized as a public utility, offers support for research in fields relating to the Holocaust, its origins and consequences up to the present day, as well as the study of past and contemporary anti-Semitism in all its forms.

The Foundation favours projects that open up new fields of knowledge and present an original approach, particularly in the field of comparative history. It also attaches importance to European, international and interdisciplinary perspectives that combine historical, anthropological, sociological, legal, philosophical, psychological or literary analyses.

Particular emphasis is placed on projects dealing with French aspects of the history of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust.

Projects are not submitted by individuals but by institutions (with the exception of research grants). Publication projects, for example, are submitted by a publisher.
