As part of its policy of promoting research on the Americas, the Institut des Amériques is inviting applications for the Prix de la monographie sur les Amériques 2026.

This prize rewards a recent work (original research monograph) by a teacher-researcher or researcher belonging to a member institution of the Institut des Amériques network. Only works written by a single author are eligible. Theses (or monographs based on a doctoral thesis) and collective volumes are not eligible. Works submitted that do not conform to the requirements of a scientific work (e.g. notes, substantial bibliography) will not be considered.

The prize is open to all disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. The work can be written in any of the four main languages of the Americas (French, English, Spanish, Portuguese).

The jury is made up equally of 1/ specialists from North America 2/ specialists from Latin America.
