Created in 2005, thePrix Jean Carbonnierrewards work resulting from a thesis or first book on law or justice, regardless of the humanities and social sciences discipline concerned. Since 2017, the Carbonnier Prize has been awarded in partnership with Editions Dalloz. Written in French, published or unpublished, by a French or foreign author, these works must have been completed, or defended in the case of a thesis, between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025. The prize is €5,000.
Candidates who have applied for the prize in previous years are not eligible to compete.
