The Faculty's international outlook is reflected in its two main missions: training and research. In particular, it means welcoming foreign research professors to the Faculty, and sending FDSP research professors to partner universities. There are various ways of doing this.
-
To be welcomed as a visiting professor
Every year, the FDSP welcomes visiting professors from centers and institutes, from the Faculty itself, or from the university. Many foreign research professors are invited by statute every year.
In addition to the numerous invitations issued by the research centers themselves as part of their various research programs (see 2, below), these invitations are launched through two annual campaigns:
- The campaign to host visiting professors on FDSP support (launched in Nov/Dec of each year). If you have any questions, please write to anne-sophie.HORNER@univ-amu.fr
- The campaign to welcome visiting professors to the Faculty of Law, using university support (DRV procedure, each spring).
Each of these procedures involves the research centers or laboratories proposing one or more candidates to the component, which then ranks them at the Component Council. In the case of the DRV campaign, the university decides on the applications from each component.
Visits generally last one month.
Visiting ECs must then contact the International Relations Department to complete the necessary formalities, and in particular to sign a hosting agreement.

Hosting a research visit
Every year, the FDSP welcomes numerous foreign research professors and doctoral students as part of the research programs carried out by its centers and laboratories. Participation in prestigious international networks enables international scientific collaboration on collective research projects.
Researchers and PhD students wishing to come and spend a short research period in one of our centers or laboratories are invited to contact these structures first to determine the possibilities and conditions of a possible stay. The center or laboratory then submits the request to the component.
The procedure guide can be found here: https://guide-recherche.univ-amu.fr/international/accueillir-un-cherche…

Missions and stays abroad by FDSP research professors
FDSP teacher-researchers may be sent abroad on research, teaching or pedagogical engineering assignments within the framework of international agreements with partner institutions. Teachers wishing to participate in or initiate such cooperation should contact the scientific leaders of these partnerships and the International Relations Assessor.
All new international cooperation agreements and conventions require a project sheet to be drawn up in conjunction with the Dean's International Relations Assessor, and then approved by the Component Council.
The Campus International Relations Department ("DRI Campus"), formerly known as the "International Relations Service", and the University's IR Department, provide advice and expertise to teaching staff wishing to set up an international project. They are at everyone's service, as soon as a foreign element is present in a project.
