Calenda Announcement 1,427,497 (excerpts)

This call for papers aims to produce a multidisciplinary collective volume on the interplay between law, the state, and religions in contemporary Africa. Under the academic direction of Prof. Guy Bucumi, the project explores how the overlapping legal frameworks (local cosmogonies, colonial legacies, positive law) and the role of religion influence political legitimacy, as well as the creation and implementation of law and the rule of law.
