Driven by guiding principles, the law of protected adults has been the subject of a comprehensive and organized reflection in order to reinforce as much as possible the autonomy of protected adults. This desire is reflected in the latest reforms, in particular the law of 5 March 2007 and more recently the law of 23 March 2019. Despite the multiplication of sources and the apparent legislative disorder, there is a common dynamic: to ensure better protection of the minor while accompanying him or her towards autonomy. The purpose of this colloquium is to allow academics and practitioners to share their thoughts and experience on this trend with regard to child welfare, educational assistance measures and the particular case of the unaccompanied minor, the new Code of Criminal Justice for Minors, adoption or the health of the minor.
