Calenda Announcement 1,437,467 (excerpts)
Francophone research on lobbying has expanded significantly over the past decade, to the point where there are concerns about a fragmentation of theoretical frameworks and methods across disciplines. This one-day symposium, which builds on the event held in June 2026 on indirect lobbying, invites young researchers in the social, economic, and legal sciences to explore the conditions necessary for truly interdisciplinary research. The call for papers is organized around three themes. The first examines the relationship between lobbying and democracy, whether in terms of interest representation or asymmetries of influence. The second focuses on the regulatory framework governing interest representation and on emerging forms—such as cyberlobbying or electoral lobbying—that legal categories struggle to capture. The third focuses on actors and practices, particularly their digitization and the rise of artificial intelligence.
