The "Archives du passé, présent des archives" doctoral study day is the first to be held by the 9028 HARTIS joint research unit, which came into being on January 1, 2026. The aim is to bring together doctoral students and young researchers in history, art history, archaeology and philology from all periods, on the theme of archives as a source and a tool, from their processing to their use.

In 2027, to encourage national and international exchanges, INHA will be hosting researchers for periods of between 1 and 3 months. Researchers residing in mainland France are not eligible for this scheme. Priority will be given to experienced researchers (who have defended their thesis for at least 5 years) or to art history professionals with equivalent professional experience, whether affiliated to an institution or independent.
The proposed project must be an individual research project, not an institutional one.
