The German Historical Institute (IHA) is a research center of the public foundation "Max Weber Stiftung - Deutsche Geisteswissenschaftliche Institute im Ausland". We work under the motto "Research - Mediation - Qualification" in the field of French, Franco-German and West European history - from Late Antiquity to the present day - and play a leading role in mediating between Germany and France. Digital history and African history are complementary areas of research.
The German Historical Institute is seeking to recruit a part-time (24h/week) doctoral candidate (h,f,x) for August 1, 2025 (or a mutually agreed date).
