The German Historical Institute is recruiting for February 1, 2025, or a mutually agreed date, a Doctoral Candidate - part-time fixed-term contract (24h/week) (h,f,x).
The German Historical Institute (HIA) is a research center of the public Max Weber Foundation - Deutsche Geisteswissenschaftliche Institute im Ausland. We work under the motto "Research - Mediation - Qualification" in the field of French, Franco-German and West European history - from Late Antiquity to the present day - and play a leading role in mediating between Germany and France. Digital history and the history of sub-Saharan Africa are complementary areas of research.
