The aim of this symposium is to take a broad, multidisciplinary look at the driving forces and limits of "integrated" occupational risk management policies.
Prevention and health at work are still the subject of much debate, both in political and trade union circles, and among professionals in the sector and academic researchers. In France, the Fourth Plan Santé Travail (2021-2025), accompanied by the national interprofessional agreement (ANI) of December 9, 2020 and the law of August 2, 2021, marks a renewed ambition on the part of the public authorities: to shift the approach, hitherto focused on measuring occupational risks on the one hand, and repairing damage and harm to workers' health on the other, towards a rationale centered on primary prevention, promoting quality of life and improving working conditions (Cour des Comptes, 2022). Faced with the diversification of risks (Gamassou & Mias, 2022; Thébaud-Mony et al., 2015; Bouffartigue, 2014), the entry of new publics into the labor market (di Paola et al., 2018) and the multiplication of care mechanisms (Dumas, 2019; Mias & Wolmark, 2018), a new assessment of the transformations underway can be made. The aim of this symposium is to take a broad, multidisciplinary look at the driving forces and limits of this "integrated" occupational risk management policy.
