Announcement Calenda 1125121
The Comité de Liaison des Associations Dix-neuviémistes (CL 19) has created an annual prize designed to crown a doctoral thesis or postgraduate dissertation on the 19th century (1789-1914). The prize was awarded for the first time in 2016, in the spirit of CL 19, which brings together learned societies, research groups, museums, libraries and cultural institutions concerned with the study of the 19th century.
Award conditions (abstracts)
Candidates, of French or foreign nationality, must have successfully defended, in the two years preceding the date of submission to the jury, a doctoral thesis or post-graduate dissertation written in French on the 19th century (1789-1914). Each doctoral thesis or post-graduate dissertation may be submitted only once for the Prize. The prizewinner is requested to include a mention of the Prix Ary Scheffer des associations dix-neuviémistes in the published work, either by means of a banner or on the flyleaf (for publication assistance).
