Announcement Calenda 1218749 (extracts)
The Prize is awarded annually by the President of the Jury of the Nineteenth Century Associations Research Prize, on the recommendation of the Jury convened to examine the works submitted. The jury may propose not to award the Prize if none of the theses submitted appear to have the required qualities.
Candidates, of French or foreign nationality, must have successfully defended, in the two years preceding the date of submission to the jury, a doctoral thesis or post-graduate dissertation written in French and focusing on the 19th century (1789-1914). Each doctoral thesis or post-graduate dissertation may be submitted only once for the Prize. The prizewinner is requested to include a mention of the Prix Ary Scheffer des associations dix-neuviémistes in the published work, either by means of a banner or on the flyleaf (for publication assistance).
