Presentation

GIS Patrimoines en partage is organizing the second edition of its prize in 2026. The sum of €3,000 will be awarded to the winner for publication support.

This prize is intended to reward research work that corresponds to the concerns of the GIS Patrimoines en partage, distinguished by its quality, its innovative content and the care taken in its writing.

The prize corresponds to support for the first publication of the doctoral thesis. The GIS will pay this aid directly to the prizewinner(s) after receipt of a commitment to publish within a maximum period of twelve months from the date of payment of the prize.

Depending on the quality of the work presented, the jury may decide to award a special mention to a second thesis, which will also receive a publication grant.

In all cases, publication of the thesis by a publisher must include the GIS logo on the 4th cover and mention the support of GIS Patrimoine en partage. The author will send a copy of the book to the GIS.

Eligibility

Theses must be defended between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2025, at a French university, in French or English (with an introduction and summary in both languages).

Theses may come from any discipline in the human and social sciences (anthropology, geography, history, art history, archaeology, information and communication sciences, law, political science, sociology, etc.).
