I Background
Le Lys Bleu Éditions is launching the first edition of its Prix des sciences humaines & sociales. The aim of this annual event is to recognize high-level academic work and support its publication. In 2026, Le Lys Bleu will award :
- 5 masters prizes
- 5 thesis or HDR prizes
to reward high-quality scientific work in the humanities and social sciences: arts and aesthetics, law, history and geography, linguistics, literature and literary criticism, philosophy, psychology, economics and management, information and communication sciences, political science and geopolitics, education sciences, sociology.
The winners will receive 5 copies of their work, after professional adaptation and layout. The awards ceremony will be held in Paris in autumn.
Works must demonstrate :
- a real scientific contribution
- A relevant and clearly formulated problematic;
- An in-depth analysis and original approach;
- A capacity to reach out beyond the strict academic circle to a wider readership.
II Entry requirements
Applications are accepted from young doctors and students who have defended their research work between December 1, 2024 and the closing date for entries. Manuscripts must be submitted exclusively by electronic means, accompanied by the author's contact details (postal address, e-mail address, telephone number) and :
- For theses: the post-defence report; for recent defences and in the absence of the final report, preliminary reports may be attached, pending the defence report, without which the manuscript cannot be considered for the prize.
- For dissertations: a letter of support from the master's or research supervisor.
