(Re)thinking the University: from the FAURE law to the challenges of the XXIst century - Hybrid conference 23 and 24 March 2023 University of Tours (registration deadline 15 03 2023)
Summary presentation
The interventions of the DEGESIP, experts of the European Commission, academics, rectors, inspectors general IGAENER and Education, Sport and Research, vice-presidents of regions in charge of ESR but also presidents of universities, DGS of universities, DG of CROUS, deontological referents of universities and elected students will allow, five years after the Poitiers conference on groupings in higher education, to reflect on the challenges of university governance, the articulation of their site policy with the regulatory role of the State, as well as the new dynamics related to globalization and university financing.
A final part will be devoted to universities facing societal challenges with reflections on the principles and values of the public service they manage, the respective roles of men and women exercising their function in the sphere of teaching and research and in the administrative sphere without forgetting the integration of the requirement of well-being.
Exciting debates on a scientific object too often neglected: the University!
