Inherited from the Ancien Régime and from the canon law, the principle of inalienability distinguishes a certain number of goods for their value of art or history, removing them from exchanges and trade, in order to constitute the treasure that the Nation gives itself. Religious heritage seems to be more concerned than any other by this type of provision, accumulating in a certain way two types of sacredness, patrimonial and religious. The Ethnopôle GARAE (Groupe audois de recherche et d'animation ethnographique) is launching a call for applications to set up a scientific residency for the academic year 2022-2023 on the theme Patrimoines à vendre : fortune et infortune du patrimoine religieux . The primary purpose of the residency will be the writing of an article and will involve the organization of a public conference on the chosen theme, or on another aspect of the work carried out by the candidate.
