The German Historical Institute in Paris (IHA) is a key player in international historical research, acting as a mediator between German and French historical research. IHA's research focuses on French and Franco-German history, African history and digital history.
IHA's scientific article prize enables the publication, in the form of a German-language article, of the results of an outstanding French doctoral thesis or habilitation to direct research in the Institute's fields of research. IHA will cover the cost of translating the article (approximately €2,000). The article will then be submitted to "Francia" or a relevant German journal.
