The aim of this autumn school is to create and lead a network of doctoral and post-doctoral researchers working on ageing issues in the human and social sciences. The school is designed to provide a forum for discussion of the issues and challenges facing the field of research on old age and aging, adopting a resolutely multidisciplinary approach. The issues of longevity, old age and aging are approached through the lens of life courses, needs and aspirations, in all their diversity. The school days are designed to introduce researchers at the very beginning of their careers to the many conceptual and methodological advances arising from the various themes of the research field.
