Announcement Calenda 1246735 (extracts)
For over sixty years, Unapei has been working with people with disabilities and their families. Throughout these years, the associations that make up the network have never ceased to question themselves, with the aim of providing support that is ever more in tune with the needs and desires of people with disabilities. Under these conditions, collaboration with the world of scientific research has always held a special place within Unapei. It is in this spirit of partnership that Unapei is launching its Pierre Lagier research prize. The prize will be awarded to three students for the high quality of their Master 2 research dissertations.
1 The prize is open to candidates in the human and social sciences or public health, whatever their discipline - sociology, economics and management, law, political science, anthropology, educational science, philosophy, history, psychology or public health.
Students who have defended their dissertation in 2024 or 2025 are eligible to apply.
Applicants must :
- have written their dissertation in French;
- explain, in a covering letter, why they chose this subject and how they would use the Prize if it were awarded to them.
2 In keeping with Unapei's mission, briefs must address issues relating to intellectual disability.
Beyond this minimum inclusion criterion, briefs may deal with a variety of subjects, focusing on people with disabilities themselves, but also on caregivers, public policies or the history of disability.
The jury will be particularly attentive to subjects in line with Unapei's strategic orientations. Among the subjects of interest, and in a non-exhaustive way, the jury will appreciate those dealing with :
- Self-determination
- Ageing of people with disabilities
- Complex situations
- Commitment (voluntary, militant, associative, etc.)
Similarly, work involving a participatory dimension in the design and implementation of the research project will be particularly appreciated.
