Announcement Calenda 1400 864
On December 13, 2006, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Twenty years on, it is worth noting that disabled people in Africa unfortunately continue to face numerous difficulties in accessing healthcare, information, education, decent employment and empowerment. They are also the daily victims of stigmatization, rejection and marginalization. This state of affairs contributes in no small measure to the flagrant violation of even the most fundamental rights guaranteed by national and international legislation.
