This international conference aims to reexamine the history of labor in colonial contexts (19th–20th centuries) in light of recent historiographical developments. By adopting an intersectional and relational approach, the event aims to analyze the interactions between colonizers and the colonized, as well as the intersection of relations of domination (class, gender, race, age) within imperial systems of exploitation.
