The distribution of water resources in the Alpes-Maritimes is constrained: most of the water consumed on the coast is stored in the Var alluvial aquifer, but most of it comes from rainfall and runoff upstream in mountainous areas. Today, as in the past, this interdependence raises many questions in terms of territorial cohesion. This symposium aims to highlight this reality through a multi-disciplinary approach in the human and social sciences. For this reason, while focusing on a historical approach, it intends to call on specialists in geography, sociology, anthropology, law, political science, urban planning and architecture.
