The Maison méditerranéenne des sciences de l'homme has created a thesis prize to be awarded each year to a doctor who has defended a promising work on Mediterranean and African studies in humanities and social sciences. This call is open to theses written in any language and defended in France or abroad. The 2022 prize is open to theses defended between January 1 and December 31, 2021.

Each year, the History Committee rewards theses and master's level works, completed within the last three years, relating to the history of social protection in the broad sense (including unemployment and social action), including its international dimension.

The works must be written in French or English.

In 2022, four prizes may be awarded by the History Committee to theses devoted to unpublished historical research and to master's theses.

The total prize money is 7,000 euros.
