  While the concept of sovereignty is sparking renewed interest in the digital sphere, its relationship with ecological paradigms remains largely unexplored, although some recent publications have addressed this line of research. Indeed, in the name of digital sovereignty, new and increasingly redundant infrastructures are being built with the aim of providing better connectivity and greater computing or storage capacity. This issue of Terminal aims to bring together, within the digital realm, various approaches to sovereignty and ecology, exploring the spectrum between conflict and alignment.

  These two-day seminar is organized by IPRAUS (ENSAPB) in partnership with the AAU-Cresson Laboratory (ENSAG/CNRS) and will take place on March 17 and 18, 2027, at ENSA Paris-Belleville.

At the intersection of naval warfare, the maritime economy, and diplomacy, it served, from antiquity through the 19th century, as a major strategic tool for weakening rival powers, particularly in the context of colonial and imperial rivalries from the 16th to the 19th centuries. This conference aims to explore privateering from a diachronic and interdisciplinary perspective, drawing on history, law, political science, geopolitics, and strategic studies.
