Foresight is not an academic discipline and it develops within all existing disciplines, be they engineering sciences, natural sciences, political sciences, economics, social sciences, etc. Foresight works are, by nature, very diverse. One can distinguish, however, three types of thesis in foresight:

Within the framework of the Normandy Interest Network "Normandie Humanities and Society", the Normandy Region has granted́ a 3-year doctoral contract (September 1, 2022-August 31, 2025) to the thesis subject: "Governance and ecological transition in French port areas. Legal study.", under the supervision of Nicolas GUILLET (Senior Lecturer in Public Law, authorized to direct research, Universitý Le Havre Normandie, Director of CERMUD).

History Prize 2022 (Masters) - Salesian Academy (Annecy) - deadline for entries 01 11 2022

In order to value academic work and young researchers, the Salesian Academy is offering its first History Prize (2022 session), a competition for master's students in history. The winner of this prize will receive the sum of 1000 euros and several publication opportunities. The dissertation presented must deal with the history of the States of Savoy, the religious history or the linguistics of the Franco-Provençal area.

The French Institutes for Advanced Study Fellowship Programme offers 10-month fellowships in the six Institutes of Aix-Marseille, Loire Valley (Orléans-Tours), Lyon, Montpellier, Nantes and Paris. It welcomes applications from high-level international scholars to develop their innovative research projects in France.

Postdoctoral research contract Literature and Ethics in the Arts (LETHICA) - (University of Strasbourg) - deadline for participation 06 05 2022

The interdisciplinary thematic institute LETHICA (Ethical Literature and the Arts) invites applications for a postdoctoral research contract for a period of one year, renewable for one year, to be taken up between September and December 2022 (date to be agreed). The candidate will have to propose a project related to the different themes of LETHICA (sorting, moral revolutions, transparency and secrecy, making cases) and to its research perspectives (axes: historical approaches, intercultural perspectives, ethics of creation, ethics and therapy).

Doctoral contract - Analysis of the effects of the @spire project on teachers' practices, students' career paths and experiences (Université Savoie Mont Blanc) - deadline for participation 1st July 2022

This doctoral research project aims to understand the impact of the transformation induced by the adoption of a competency-based approach on the learning processes and practices of teachers and students. It will also aim to analyze the support systems planned within the framework of the @spire project at the University of Savoie Mont Blanc (USMB) and the uses of pedagogical innovations.

Grant - Residencies for researchers (on the Napoleonic period) at the Marmottan Library (2022-2023) - deadline for participation before 30 04 2022

The Marmottan Library, located in Boulogne-Billancourt, is dedicated to the study of the First Empire and Napoleonic Europe. It holds some 25,000 books and periodicals, many of which are rare and valuable. It offers two grants of 1300 € and two ten-month residencies to researchers, regardless of their nationality and without excluding the subject or field of research, as long as it contributes to the knowledge of the Napoleonic period.
