    This course is open to students in their first year of a Master's degree.

    Access is subject to the submission of an application.

    The conditions for access to Master 2 vary depending on whether or not students have completed their first year of the Master's programme within the field (students with or without the right to access Master 2).

    Access to the Master's degree in Environmental Law is conditional on obtaining a national law degree or equivalent. Students applying for access to Master 1 must apply via the MonMaster platform (monmaster.gouv.fr).

  • STRUCTURE AND ORGANISATION

    The Environmental Law major comprises a common first year and 4 second year pathways:

    - Environmental Transition Law;

    - Energy law;

    - Corporate environmental and social governance (course co-taught with the Business Law major) ;

    - Environmental law and town planning law (co-taught with Real Estate Law)

  • LEARNING AND RESEARCH

    The Université d'Aix-Marseille is an establishment whose research in the field of environmental law is particularly well recognised, both nationally and internationally.     The skills targeted by the course are as follows:

    - Research, analysis and use of international, European, national and local legal information concerning environmental and energy issues.

    - Drafting of technical files, summary notes, legal analyses and legal documents in these fields.

    - Drafting of deeds and contracts under private or public law in these fields.

    - Legal assistance and advice on decision-making in the environmental and energy fields for public and private bodies, at French, international and European level.

    - Legal assistance and advice on environmental actions and policies for companies, associations and private federations, at French, international and European level.

    - Litigation management in environmental and energy disputes, under both public and private law, and under domestic, European and international law.
