To this end, they have decided to award an annual prize recognizing the best Master’s 2 thesis on 19th-century history (1818–1914), covering all relevant regions.

The Diplomatic Archives Directorate aims to bring diplomacy closer to the French public by developing initiatives that enable professionals in the archival and library fields to diversify their audiences and organize networking events through this project. For the 2026–2027 academic year, the Wendel Foundation is renewing its research support program for Master’s 2 students and doctoral candidates in the humanities and social sciences. With a strong focus on historical and economic studies, the grants support projects related to technology, businesses, and, more broadly, industrial societies. In doing so, this program gives preference to projects that utilize industrial archives.
