Conceived as part of the Patvie project (Passage d'âges et transition dans les parcours de vie entre vulnérabilité et émancipation), this seminar proposes to put these processes at the center of reflection and to question the social production of vulnerabilities and their institutional regulation through the prism of the notions of age transitions and life courses. Through various themes - health, family life, housing, commitment - the aim is to analyze how non-linear life trajectories put instituted modes of social regulation to the test.

Each year, the Cour de France association provides financial support for the publication of two theses on the subject of the court or related themes. Each winning thesis is credited with €3,000 for publication.

Theses must have been defended between July 15, 2025 and July 15, 2026.
