Banking and finance law, whose sources are international, European and national, contributes to the security of the financial system. It is often a response to crises, such as the subprime crisis, which require global or at least European solutions. However, the regulations adopted can be complex for players in the banking and financial sector to understand and apply. This situation is exacerbated by societal changes, such as the increase in cyber-risk and the development of artificial intelligence.

This symposium explores the spoliations of film heritage between 1933 and 1945, a largely unknown phenomenon. Papers reveal the complexity of these seizures: spoliation of works, equipment, filmmakers, laboratories or screening venues. The presentations will help us to understand the precise mechanisms of this methodically elaborate policy: its regional ramifications, the role of the institutions involved and the key players, as well as the works and filmmakers spoliated.

Thirteen years after the October 19, 2012 symposium on the metamorphosis of professionals in the legal protection of adults, a new study day is scheduled on this theme to determine together what meaning(s) to give to this young profession.

This symposium, which will bring together several historians, will study disappearances and deaths in a colonial context in the Maghreb (19th-20th centuries), and their repercussions up to the present day, from the perspective of catastrophe (natural, health and technological). Wishing to go beyond a historiography largely dominated by wartime violence, without sidestepping it, this colloquium aims to approach disappearances and deaths through the prism of catastrophe (natural, sanitary, technological...) in a colonial context in the Maghreb.
