For its ninth issue, the Revue internationale environnementale semestrielle (RIES) from ASPROBIO AGM (an association for the protection of biodiversity and the adoption of marker gestures) invites us to reflect on and explore the highlights of current environmental events. The magazine therefore invites readers to explore and question the environmental news of the last six months and the following six months. Papers on recent world events are welcome. Papers may address the topics listed or any other subject, according to scientific disciplines and methods. They may cross several axes.

Smart grids are often seen as decision aids for defining electricity supply and demand levels to guide energy trajectories. They reflect the combination of digital transition and energy transition, enabling real-time management of electricity supply. They are all the more essential given the intermittent nature of renewable energy production. As early as 2011, the European Commission saw smart grids as the backbone of a low-carbon energy future. But the success of the energy transition depends on the relevance of the energy policies implemented, and on consumer acceptability. In this sense, the energy transition is also the transition of a socio-technical system. This call for papers examines the social reception of smart grids, the perception of their uses and their deployment model. This special issue is intended to illustrate the wide range of social science research (action research, fundamental research, participatory research) into existing systems and networks.

This issue brings together contributions dealing with the landscapes of protected areas. In recent years, the development of policies for the protection and conservation of nature and biodiversity at international and national levels has involved, among other things, the creation of new protected areas or the extension of existing ones. We have chosen to position this issue using the term "protected area" in reference to the National Protected Areas Strategy 2030, which sets the objective of placing 30% of French territory under the protection of at least one type of protected area, and 10% of territory under strong protection. Three thematic entries are proposed to structure this special issue: 1 - Diversity and changes in protected area landscapes; 2 - New protected areas, what consequences for landscapes and territories, and which players are mobilized? 3 - What changes in project practices in protected areas?

Côte d'Ivoire, like many developing countries, is facing growing food-related public health challenges. Despite economic progress, rapid urbanization and the growing influence of globalization have led to profound changes in eating habits, often to the detriment of health. Ivorian youth are particularly affected by this trend. Young people are exposed to a multitude of food choices, often influenced by the availability of processed foods and fast-food outlets, as well as aggressive advertising campaigns by the food industry. However, there is a growing awareness of the importance of returning to a more traditional, balanced diet, not only to safeguard individual health, but also to ensure the long-term sustainability of public health and the environment.

This call for papers for issue 25 of the journal Politiques de communication explores the role of the media in the mediatization of the "sexist and sexual violence cases" scheduled for spring 2025. It examines how the format of the affair influences the mediatization of such violence, while also analyzing how the "affair form" configures media frames. Cases of gender-based violence, comparable to public health scandals, offer a prism through which to study the media's construction of public problems. The dossier aims to answer the question of how the "affair form" and cases of mediatized sexual violence interact.

The conference will bring together specialists from a variety of disciplines, including history, geography, law, literature, political science, economics, sociology and the arts, as well as environmental and climate change specialists, to explore the interactions between land and power in Scotland along three main axes: history, law and the environment.
