Seaports are strategic territories, representing essential issues of sovereignty and competitiveness. With 90% of international trade transported, sea transport plays a central role in the functioning of globalization, and is essential to the globalization of companies. This is all the more true in the case of most developing countries. The growth of maritime transport raises important questions about globalization, trade, development, environmental sustainability, energy security and geopolitics, to name but a few. The aim of this symposium is to compare different disciplinary approaches to these issues.

The study of libraries is part of cultural history, at the crossroads of social history, knowledge, imaginary worlds, cultural policies and practices. Their forms, underlying projects, uses and representations have evolved along with the societies that have financed, built and supported them. This issue of the Revue d'histoire culturelle XVIIIe-XXIe siècles, devoted to the "cultural history of libraries around the world", will consider this history from three points of view: the place of the library in fiction and the arts; the library as a collective project - or counter-project; the library as a social practice.

Since the 1980s, we have witnessed a succession of crises largely linked to the dominant economic system, based on the objective of growth and to which both humans and nature find themselves subjugated. More than ever, the seriousness of these crises calls for the identification of the interstices through which social transformations can take place, bringing solidarity, emancipation and, more fundamentally, a renewed relationship with the Earth. CRISES' tradition of research into social innovations provides an exceptional starting point for thinking about social innovations as sources of resistance. It also calls for us to move away from disciplinary silos and address the complexity of today's issues in a cross-disciplinary, cross-sectoral way, bridging the gap between research and action. This call for papers thus echoes approaches that address a number of complex issues in various fields, including democratic participation, economics, ecology and technology.

The purpose of this call for papers is to solicit proposals for contributions to this day from all institutions and individuals interested in this subject.

In France, one dwelling in four is owned by a private lessor, representing 7.5 million dwellings owned by over 2 million owners (Service des données et études statistiques (SDES), 2022). These owners, mostly "natural persons" rather than capitalized companies, have been little studied, even though they occupy a nodal position in the manufacture of urban inequalities and social relations linked to housing (Delon, Vignal, 2022). By focusing on the spaces that landlords invest in and the ordinary strategies they employ to extract rental income, this issue ofEspaces et sociétés aims to contribute to an emerging issue in French and international urban research.

Organized annually by a team of doctoral students from the Ruralités and CITERES laboratories (DATE team), this year's doctoral students' day will be devoted to the notions of territorial development, transition and adaptation. These concepts are closely linked in an era of global change and the challenges they underpin, particularly in view of the climatic upheavals affecting our societies worldwide, which are forcing us to rethink our ways of understanding and practicing the territory.

In the 1960s, living conditions and urban policies clearly became an object of public concern and a political issue. In several European countries, residents, urban professionals, researchers and political activists began to criticize current urban development methods, and also took action in the field to oppose them and build alternatives. The simultaneity or proximity in time of these urban social movements, and the similarities in their strategies, objectives and forms of protest, show the interest of approaching them not only from an international but also a transnational perspective. This study day is conceived as an initial phase of investigation into these circulations, designed to map them, assess their scope and identify their modalities and traces.

Issue 10 of the journal Dérivations will return to the question of housing. As numerous works in the field of critical geography have shown, the growing difficulties of access to housing are mirrored by the growing influence of the financialization of land ownership. This situation invites us to question the foundations of our conceptions of housing and property. The existence of a constitutional "right to housing" immediately highlights the collective nature of this issue. Added to this are ecological issues, such as limiting the urbanization of natural land and reintroducing biodiversity into densely populated areas. In short, the need to occupy space more sparingly and in a way that is more shared between humans and non-humans introduces new constraints and challenges in the way housing can occupy (or not occupy) space.

The omnipresence of calls for projects (CFPs) is in stark contrast to the small number of scientific studies on this public policy instrument. French political scientists and sociologists have paid less attention to the rise of calls for projects in public action, the reasons for using this instrument, the work involved in drawing up and responding to calls for projects, and the methods used to select the winners. The same is true of questions relating to the nature of calls for projects and their parameters, which have received little attention from legal experts and specialists in administrative and management sciences. These are all blind spots in research that the current issue of RFAP aims to fill.
